The Deb Martin Memorial Slalom is held each year through Slalom Rapid on the Greys River in Alpine, WY. Whitewater Slalom is an olympic event that tests the river running skills of even the best kayakers. Participants must navigate a series of downstream and upstream gates without making any contact with the gate poles. Time penalties are assessed for all gate touches and misses, the lowest overall time wins. Come out and race!

The Slalom Course is hung during the week prior to the event, please feel free to practice on the course at any time. DO NOT make any changes to the gates or gate setups with out first contacting a JHKC representative.

!!VOLUNTEERS!! We always need help on race day with timing, race organization, and clean-up. No experience necessary, we will train you!  Please contact JHKC director Reed Hutton (director@jhkayakclub.org) if you are interested in volunteering.
