Executive Director

The Jackson Hole Kayak Club is now looking to hire a new Executive Director!

Here's the job description:

The Jackson Hole Kayak Club, a registered 501c(3) non-profit, is seeking an Executive Director to administer its youth kayaking programs. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who is passionate about kayaking and excited about fostering the growth of the Jackson Hole Kayak Club as a sustainable and service oriented non-profit organization. The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors and act as chief administrative and chief financial officer to ensure the organization consistently provides safe, enjoyable and enriching programs for its participants.

Qualifications for the prospective candidate include:
-Current Level IV or higher American Canoe Association certified whitewater kayak instructor
-Current Wilderness First Aid or higher certification
-At least 2 years experience instructing whitewater kayaking
-At least 1 year experience in managing all operational aspects of an organization
-Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with children
-Strong organizational and leadership skills
-Experience working and teaching in outdoor, backcountry settings

The prospective candidate will be expected to work with the board to:
-Develop instructional kayak programs
-Organize competitive and community events
-Pursue fundraising opportunities
-Publicize and promote the activities and mission of the organization
-Recruit and manage paid staff and volunteers
-Establish and maintain sound financial plans
