Bear River Race
the bear is back!
The Bear River Race is back for 2019. Presented by the Jackson Hole Kayak Club and Rendezvous River Sports. This is a class V race beginning at BooBoo Rapid and ending ~1.5 miles later at the takeout. All racers must be expert kayakers and have paddled this stretch of whitewater before.

Volunteers are needed for timing (do not need to kayak) and safety (must be expert paddler). All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt, post race BBQ, and $10 RRS Gift Card. Email Rainer email@example.com if you are interested.
The Bear will be releasing on Friday-Sunday (4/26-4/28). A request of 1200 CFS has been made for race day, but flows of at least 900 CFS will be provided.
Saturday, April 27- Registration 9:00-11:00 at the Put In at Grace Dam. Registration is $40 and comes with event t-shirt, raffle ticket, and BBQ.
Race starts at BooBoo at high noon. Individual Time Trial, interval start. Finish line is take-out bridge.
BBQ and awards to follow at the takeout.
Note: There is no alcohol or camping allowed on PacifiCorp Property. Please respect their wishes so we can continue to hold this event.
